Plan on using for Goliath Grouper on the West coast of FL. Lays very nice on reel, great for splicing large leader, but easy enough to handle to get a good knot tied. I shouldn't need to buy this line again, but if I do I will be back!

These 150 yard spools are great for splicing fresh braid onto your reels. I like to remove/replace 50 yards of braid on my reels halfway through the season to guard against line damage from rubs and abrasion.

What size hollow core do i need to splice to 60, 40, and possibly 30 lb flourocarbon. The application will be for making my own spliced leaders for BFT jigging. My main line is typically 50 lb or 65 lb power pro. Thanks!

Mike, the larger pound hollow core would make for the easiest splices. I would say 60 or 80 hollow core would be perfect and would be the lightest you would want to go.

I'm new to splicing braid to flouro and i will be using it more for freshwater swimbait fishing. i usually fish straight 30Lb flouro but i want to try splicing because it gets expensive buying just flouro when i could buy one spool of braid and 1 spool of flouro and it last longer than just flouro on my reel. thank you

Hello Travis.
Your best bet for this application would be to spool your reel with braided line, and tie your flourocarbon leader straight onto that line. To use a 30lb. floro leader you would need a max of 50 pound hollow Jerry Brown and the splicing process would be very hard. Therefore, your joining the leader to the braid with a uni to uni knot would be the best way to go. Please feel free to contact us if you have any more questions!
