I first saw this cooler at one of the big box stores but was the 72 qt version and I wanted the 54 qt size. After much searching, found it at TackleDirect and with shipping costs still cheaper than local. So far, great cooler especially for saltwater environment. It might not keep ice as long as a Yeti but much cheaper. Nice stainless hinges and I really like the steel cable lid holder. This is a much better cooler than the regular marine cooler. Oh yeah, TackleDirect shipped it in 4 days. Glad I found them on line.

The cooler is out fitted with all of the marine options, Stainless hinges, double stainless lid straps, heavy duty lid latch. The 54 quart is hard to find and a little pricey but I believe you get what you pay for. Out of the 2 I purchased I only had the one for my truck about 2 weeks before it was stolen at work. Because of that I cant tell you if you will ever need the three year warranty. The other one I purchased will remain locked inside a work van. Mine was in the back of my utility body truck and stolen along with a five gallon safety can half full of gas while I was no more than 25 feet away from the truck. Expensive lesson learned at Disney World. All I can say is you lock it up. I have 2 Engel coolers that were hundreds of dollars each and that is the exact reason I was not using them.

This is one of the best coolers I have owned, we current have two of them. They are strong and stand up to a lot of punishment on the boat. They keep the ice for long periods of time, we have had ice last 48 hours in these coolers even on hot summer days out on the bay. Great cooler for the price.
