No loop connection is complete without some type of anti-chafing gear to protect leader material from friction and abrasion that can be caused by hooks or swivels under extreme pressure. Spring Wire Loop Protectors are recommended for use with monofilament leader material and act as a barrier to protect and increase line longevity.

What size would I need for 200# mono?

1 Answer
Greg, That depends on the thickness of your leader (mm).  For most 200 lb (1.5mm) mono leader you would need HA-LP-1.5-GR (HIS-0206-1) or (HIS-0207-1 bulk).  Please let us know if there is anything else we can help you with.

HOW DO YOU USE THIS ITEM
1 Answer
The loop protectors are use to protect the mono loop created when crimping. You fist cut the protector to the desired size, place the mono trough the crimp, next slide the mono through the loop protector and then back through the the crimp. Then using a crimping tool crimp the loop.
