Hi Seas mono has not disappointed. Great leader material, no complaints! So much more affordable than expensive fluoro and easily just as durable.

- Blue fish chew thru everything so its cheaper to deal with and easier to work with even at 60 lbs. than stiffer florocarbon,

I use this 40 pound grand slam mono as a shock leader on my surf casting conventional reel. No problems here. I would recommend this line to anyone.

I am a fishing fanatic and I always try and buy the best line possible, so when i saw Grand Slam and its price I thought it was garbage without actually buying the product. Well, I ended up buying some because it is so cheap and all I can say is WOW! I use it for everything now from shark fishing in Florida to Bass fishing. It is more abrasion resistant than lines costing the same price and much softer than Ande. In fact I even took it ice fishing and it held up as well as Berkley Cold Weather! This is great line.
