HI-SEAS 100% Fluorocarbon is made from the highest grade of pure polyvinylidene fluoride and extruded to exacting quality control standards. It matches the light refractivity of water making it virtually invisible. Supple and easy to cast, HI-SEAS 100% Fluorocarbon is an excellent specialty running line. Pro bass fishermen are using it for a variety of finesse techniques and in super clear lakes because it sinks faster than mono, is undetectable by fish, and remarkably tough. It’s also ideal for use as invisible leaders - if you use braids or colored lines, adding a leader of HI-SEAS Fluorocarbon increases hits and provides extra security against chafe and abrasion.

Tuff as nails

Great for pulling the reef donkeys off the bottom. Can take a scraping and still get the big boys to the boat
Pros
  • Tuff
  • Invisible in water
Cons
  • I just wish florocarbon were less expensive

Try something else

Try some sufix f-carbon line instead. This line has huge memories. It is harder to get a solid knot than other f-carbon lines. I won't recommend this.
Cons
  • hung amount of memory

I like this material and use it frequently as my everyday material. Makes good sense for me for that purpose.
Pros
  • Good strength.
  • Handling qualities
  • Ties well.
  • Seems more economical than other brands. More yards for less $$. Just saying.
Cons
  • Not quite as thin as some other brands, but still competitive. Not enough of a con to keep me from buying and using it!

Really happy with this leader material. Easy to tie great abrasion resistance. And cheaper the seaguar for double the yards

Easy to use...

Very clear Fluoro Leader. Seems to have good abrasion resistance in sticky structure. Knots cinch down easily when moistened and hold fast. Particularly Albrights, Grinners and Snells. Very good leader for tying hi lo rigs and dropper loops.
Pros
  • Excellent knot strength, Very clear, Good abrasion resistance
Cons
  • Only comes in 50yd spools. Other brands offer 100yd spools.

Pros
  • Lower cost than Seaguar
Cons
  • a bit thicker than others.

Pretty good for affordable fluoro leader
April 4, 2014
First fluorocarbon leader I've used. Looked invisible under water but was in the bay so not sure how it performs in clear water. Snagged a oyster and instead of losing a lure I was able to paddle around the lure and only had a little knick in the leader. Tested breaking strength at home but failed to lift a 25lb weight while 25lb trilene was able to lift the weight.
Pros
  • Affordable, translucent, abrasive resistant
Cons
  • Breaking strength less than listed
