Once you get the hang of walkin' the dog, practice introducing a quick twitch at the end of the baits glide to interrupt it from returning to center. This double twitch will a small amount of sideways movement around structure.

Old school, and it's still being produced and sold, which means it works. Topwater fun, I like the clear Spooks the best, especially in low light. The ball bearings inside produce a nice rattle and add needed weight for distance casting. Works like a charm for topwater inshore blues and stripers.

This is a classic lure. It's a bit light and given it's size, I find it works better for catching blues. The price is right as well.
