The Halco Max Lure is designed for jigging, casting and trollng. It is a great lure to troll while traveling from spot to spot due to its high speed characteristics.
When casting Max into deeper water, vary the time you allow the lure to sink before starting the retrieve so the lure covers the different depths where fish could be holding. Work the lure back at speed for best results. This lure was named the Best New Hard Body Lure at the 2007 Australian Tackle Show.

small profile almost a crank bait

this lure works similar to a lipless crank bait. small profile is a killer. split rings are triples, but the top ring is definitely far to small. i am going to swap the hooks out as well.

I HAVE CAUGHT TUNA, WAHOO AND BARRCUDA ON THIS THING AND IT REALLY WORKS. SLOW TROLL BEHIND THE BOAT AND CASTING INTO THE REEFS THIS THING ANNIHLATES. wOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND TO BUY THIS ONE. bUT AS MENTIONED BEFORE TRY ALL OF THEM CAUSE YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT THEY ARE GONNA BE HITTING ON THAT DAY. These lures come with #2 Mustad 3XX Trebles, which are quality hooks, but a solid replacement would be the #2 VMC O'Shaughnessy Treble Hook.
