Longest Lasting Oilers
June 23, 2021
Ive been oystering for 4 years now and gone through 4 pairs of Grundens and decided to try these. Got at least double life out of these bad larrys (2 years). They got worked hard and besides a large tear that was my own fault, there is minimal peeling of the pvc and holes overall. Best oilers on the market and I would highly recommend them to anyone who works in the aquaculture/fishing industry.
Pros
  • Very heavy duty but not too heavy weight-wise. The double layering if key.
Cons
  • They tear just like all other oilers if you catch them on a sharp corner or something.

These are the best bibs on the market. Period. Most Guy Cotten products are made right in New Bedford, MA, not the Far East. These bibs are made in France. I commercial fish with these and haven't put a scratch in them. They are probably overkill for the average sporty.
Pros
  • Indestructible. Made for heavy daily use. If you're a weekend guy they will outlast your boat.
Cons
  • Overkill for the rec angler.
