These boots are well made and look good. Will be used for clamming on the Oregon Coast. Order one size larger than normal as other reviewers have said.

Great construction, really comfortable on the feet, designed very well, and great value for the money. Definitely pleased with this purchase! I'd definitely recommend as a gift!

Got these boots for a job in Alaska when They first arrived they lookd really nice and fit well.
unfortunately they are poorly made. within two days from kneeling down I had rubed a hole through the tow which then allowed water to get inside. Poorly made and definitely not thick enough material. I would definitely go with Xtra tough boots they will last unlike these POS*

So far so good. They are comfortable but sizes are on the small side. I wear a 10 shoe but usually get deck boots a size bigger to accommodate thick socks in cold weather. The size 11 was too small so I had to get 12's. I have been disappointed with my last 2 pairs of Xtra Tuff's, they used to be the best but now they're basically crap. Grundens has wisely stepped in the market (pun intended) with these boots. We'll see how they hold up over time but initially I like them.

The way how every part of the boot , especially the soles and inserts, is created seems so purpose driven and carefully thought out . The boot is high enough and tight enough around the calves to create a comfortable "seal" that kept any noticeable water from leaking in while fishing in the NJ surf or party boat.

Not made for commercial fishing!Very slippery soul. Very comfortable to wear but if u want to get hurt do not wear them on fiberglass boats steel boats aluminum boats or any kind of boats. You will fall and get hurt!!!

I typically wear a size 11.5 so I ordered a 12. Plenty of room in the toe area, but around the foot they felt a bit snug with thin socks but were still comfortable. Might have needed to exchange for a size bigger if I planned to wear heavy socks. Fished standing in stormy weather for 12 hours straight and feet were very comfortable and dry.

So I am one of those guys who has still been running his 30 year old deck boots because the newer models made in China turned out to be to junk. I guess they corrected the problem but I was in no hurry to find out but when I saw these new Grundens I decided to give them a try.
These boots are amazing. They fit very well and the dual inserts with the nice insole are very high quality. The rubber is super soft and flexible, especially on top for rolling over. They also give, by far, the most cushion I have felt in a boot.
Finally, for those who care about this kind of thing, I had a guy stop me in the parking lot when he saw them and the deckhands on the overnight trip where I first wore the boots were drooling over them... Clearly these boots are cool.

These boots fit like a glove. Let it be known though that I have no prior experience with XtraTuff boots, but after HOURS of online research and sifting through reviews I decided to go with Deck Boss boots. Sizing was exactly as I had read it would be. I wear a size 6 in mens and 8 in women- I ordered a 7 and they feel perfect. I may leave an updated review after I actually get to Alaska and give them a work out. Thanks Tackle Direct!
