Great water proof jacket

Jacket is not sized correctly.....I wear an XL and this jacket is sized on the smaller side.....you can not add additional clothing beneath it without being restrictive.....the zipper is small and appears inadequate but only time will tell on that......pockets are small too.......have not been in any heavy rains yet and do not know it will perform ...... Otherwise, the jacket seems well constructed......I am a professional guide and have seen better rain-suits, especially for the money

First off, Grundens builds great gear and this kit fears no weather. If you're looking for GoreTex, you'll want this set Buoy X set. The Jacket and the bib. What a suit. Headed out last fall on a an amazing Tuna trip to the canyons. Landed one in very foul weather. Sat in a beanbag on the way in and was actually sitting in a deep puddle, my seat was bone dry. Huge fan of the Neoprene cuff! No water running down my arm when reaching overhead. YKK Aquaguard Zips work work perfectly. I stayed warm and dry on a very wet day. I washed and treated the set with DWR once I was home, it sits pristine, awaiting my next trip. Now I'm debating if I need the Lighter Grundens GoreTex Charter Jacket for this summer's Florida and Louisiana fishing trips? I think so.... :)
