It feel warm wearing the glove in cold weather but should enforce the thumb to be able to cast using braided lines.

This were bought as a gift for me a while back for cold weather boat and steelhead fishing. They are made well but i just can not use them. I have realized no matter how cold it is i do not like wearing gloves and fishing. If you like wearing gloves they are priced well.

Dry but wet inside!

They do keep you dry but at 45 or below degrees outside the sweat from your hands make them cold inside.
Pros
  • Dry
Cons
  • Sweat makes the fingers cold in 40ish weather.

How do these gloves hold up while casting braided line from the surf?

Braid line would most likely tear this glove relatively easy. If you wanted to use this glove for casting braid, I would recommend taping the casting finger or using a glove with reinforced finger tips such as the Stormr gloves.
