The Gene Larew Biffle Bug is a deadly creature style bait perfect for a wide variety of techniques. Designed with multiple features from other top performing baits, the Biffle Bug combines a unique body construction with a variety of lifelike appendages to create a bait that excels in almost any situation. The head of the bait is solid to allow for a secure hook hold, while the rest of the body is hollow. This ovular shaped hollow body construction is designed to hold glass rattles or scented attractants. For a lifelike swimming action, the Biffle Bug features two swimming legs with special foot pads that produce a hyper active kicking motion while the bait is retrieved. The body is covered with ridges and has six micro-pulsating tentacles attached to the sides and a flexible convex tail that wags and sways while the bait swims.

For a presentation that perfectly depicts a crawfish scurrying across the bottom, fish the Biffle Bug on a jointed football head like the Gene Larew Biffle HardHead Jig in a weight just heavy enough to keep in contact with the bottom on a steady retrieve. Allow the head to bang around on rocky bottoms and submerged structure, causing the jig to erratically jolt and change direction when deflecting off of obstacles. This technique has produced numerous tournament victories and is a great alternative to deepwater crankbait fishing. The Biffle Bug can also be fished in a variety of other ways including Texas rigged, Carolina rigged, on a stand-up head, or as a jig trailer.
