Always good to have in your box

If your unsure about lures for surf fishing especially travelling to a new country I�d definitely recommend buying a few off these the hooks are super strong and the flash from the spoon is great they don�t scratch easily. I hooked a giant tarpon once while snook fishing on the beach easily close to 150lb plus fish he eventually broke me off but I was amazed that he hit it

Caught the biggest snook from shore

holds up to salt use. Blue fish like it better than other spoons i have.

Casts well. The hardware is holding up well against the salt water. Great for bluefish.

I use this for striper fishing on the surf. At 3 oz, it casts so so so far if you have the right setup to properly fish with it. For reference, I use a 9 ft medium heavy rod rated to 3oz and 20lb brain with a 30lb mono leader. I caught striper, blue and mackerel on this spoon.

Great spoon for trolling kingfish

This spoon is exactly what I thought it would be. It is like an old school Krocodile from several years ago. Superior construction and shape. Balanced weight across the entire spoon. Shiny. May replace the treble for single hooks. Didn't realize this was an option when I added to cart. If you are thinking about buying. Do it.

you don't need to replace any hardware on Gator lures. i only change its treble hook, not because it's not sturdy enough but because i prefer a single hook for bluefish.

I've lost count of how many fish I've caught on gator spoons, they just work. Match the right rod with the right weight spoon and you can cast them a super long distance as well.

The work decent enough on blues and stripers to have a few. Just make sure to have a good strong mono leader because it can be frustrating and expensive when you lose them to a fish.
