I bought this as an upgrade to the transducer that came with my boat. I've used it for the past three years and I've been very happy with it. Once I dialed in the gain, meaning I lowered the gain to between 40% and 50% we started catching a ton more fish and were able to accurately target and mark hot spots. I use this to fish in 4' to 40'+ of water. Whenever the wife lets me upgrade to to 30' boat I will get one of these and the Airmar B175HW for deep water.
Pros
  • It works very well
Cons
  • If it gets knocked off true it will cause water to splash up and into the back of your boat when running.
