Transducer kit comes with installation instructions. Follow the instructions carefully to avoid damaging your boat.
*Do not use on metal hulls. When using with a 6-pin Garmin sounder, a transducer adapter cable is required.

Will this work with garmin 1042xsv

Hi Robin, The Garmin 010-10982-21 B60 600W Tilted Element - 8-Pin - 12 Degree will work but you will have no sideview or downview with this transducer. You will have only traditional sonar. Please let us know if theres anything else we can assist you with. Tight Lines.
