The Garmin 010-01805-01 echoMAP CHIRP 94sv is an easy-to-install and easy-to-use 9-inch chartplotter that includes a transducer with high wide CHIRP sonar and Garmin CHIRP SideVu/Garmin CHIRP ClearVu for clear scanning sonar images. The echoMAP CHIRP 94sv supports Panoptix sonar and includes preloaded Quickdraw Contours software, allowing you to instantly create your own HD maps with 1-foot contours as you fish. The internal 5 Hz GPS updates your position and heading 5 times per second. This unit provides NMEA 2000 support for engine data, autopilots, sensors, the FUSION-LINK audio system and more. Cords plug directly into the mount, so you can quickly install and remove your device from power and mount. It's time you harnessed the power of CHIRP sonar.
Garmin 010-01805-01 echoMAP CHIRP 94sv Features:
- 9-inch color display w/ keypad control
- Includes transducer with mid CHIRP (250 W) and CHIRP ClearVu/SideVu (455/800kHz, 500W)
- Preloaded BlueChart g2 HD charts for the coastal U.S.
- Preloaded Quickdraw Contours custom HD map creation software
- Panoptix all-seeing sonar support (transducer not included)
The echoMAP 94sv's built-in sonar capabilities include the most sophisticated sonar technology available for the fishing and boating public: CHIRP sonar. CHIRP sonar provides amazingly clear target separation and definition because it puts even more energy onto the target than traditional sonar. CHIRP also includes sonar-recording capability that not only coordinates the timing of the sonar return with the position of your boat, but saves digital information for playback on a computer using HomePort planning software. Use the user data sharing cable to share waypoints and routes between multiple devices.
Garmin ClearVu scanning sonar provides a wide, nearly photographic image of what is passing below your boat, allowing you to clearly see submerged objects, structure, and fish. Traditional Garmin HD-ID sonar and ClearVu scanning sonar are combined into a single transducer. It also provides HD-ID support for MotorGuide and Minn Kota trolling motors with integrated transducers.
The Garmin echoMAP 94sv is preloaded with BlueChart g2 HD maps that cover the coastal U.S. (West Coast, East Coast, Gulf of Mexico, Canadian and U.S. sides of the Great Lakes). Also included are charts for the entire U.S. coastline and everything available on NOAA charts. In addition to the basic charts, depth contours, currents, tidal stations, IALA symbols and included fishing charts, BlueChart g2 HD offers smooth transitioning between zoom levels and more seamless continuity across chart boundaries. Customize your screens with Shallow Water Shading, which lets you contour shade for all depth contours shallower than what your pre-determined safe depth. Fishing charts emphasize bathymetric contours with less visual clutter on the display. And there's also a choice 3-D ''over-the-bow'' or standard 2-D direct overhead map views for easier chart reading and orientation. Fast, responsive 5 Hz GPS and GLONASS refreshes your position and heading 5 times each second to make your movement on the screen more fluid. Now it is quick and easy to drop up to 5,000 accurate waypoints and find your way back to your secret fishing hot spots. With Quick Contour, you can create personalized HD fishing maps onscreen instantly with 1-foot contours. These are your maps, so you own them and can tailor them to suit your needs. Keep the data to yourself, or share it with the Quickdraw Community on Garmin Connect. If you have waypoints, tracks or frequently used routes stored on another manufacturers GPS product or on a Garmin handheld device it is easy to transfer those items to your new Garmin chartplotter via industry-standard GPX software formatting. A single microSD card slot provides expandable memory for accessory map purchases, such as LakeVu HD, LakeVu HD Ultra with Max Def Lakes, BlueChart g2 HD or BlueChart g2 Vision HD, which adds Garmin Auto Guidance (Auto Guidance is for planning purposes only and does not replace safe navigation operations) and other great features.
With Panoptix LiveVu Forward, you can see all the action on the water come to life up to 100 feet away. With LiveVu Forward, your boat can be moving or stationary, and wherever your trolling motor is pointed, you will see live images of what is happening under the water. Watch your lure as it sinks, and see its depth and movement as you retrieve it, and see it move in relationship to structures in the water. You can even see fish swimming, reacting to your bait, and when they attack, you will see and feel the hit. Once on the hook, watch the fight on your screen as it happens.
Supported SailAssist features include laylines, enhanced wind rose, heading and course-over-ground lines and true wind data fields. Gauge displays are designed to provide important, need-to-know information at a glance, including true and apparent wind angle, true or apparent wind speed, set and drift, horizontal graphs and a data bar with customizable data fields. To help you gain a wind-maximizing competitive edge, your chartplotter features a pre-race guidance page that shows your virtual starting line along with data fields showing laylines, time to burn before the start and a race timer.
When you are off the water, it is easy to keep your echoMAP CHIRP safe and secure. You do not have to mess with plugging and unplugging wires from the unit because the cords plug directly into the mount. This allows you to quickly install and remove your echoMAP CHIRP from power and the mount.
- Large screen and it's a Garmin.
- None
Other features of use - yes, it is Panoptix compatible. It has a port for NMEA 2000 networking which means you can connect multiple boat devices, pumps, sensors, audio, radio, and instruments into one readout display to quickly check status. This also allows autopilot if you so choose to purchase the needed hardware to rig your boat as such.
The button controls are great for fisherman you tend to always have dirty hands. It would get old always having to wipe the screen off after touching it.
The 9 inch display is clear and can be seen several feet away in all light conditions and there is an auto backlight feature which is very handy for late night fishing adventures.
The transducer is large at about 9" long. It weighs about 1 pound by itself and the cable itself is a good sized, thick cable weighing about the same. The kit comes with a transom mount bracket and all necessary hardware, including easy to install instructions. I opted for the stern saver to reduce the holes I drill into my boat
Unit comes with in line 3A 24V fuse, but it operates off of 12V, just fyi.
The head unit and its cradle weight about 2 pounds combined so the RAM mount kit with the 1.5" ball will suffice to support it in rough, hull slamming chop.
Lastly, for 499 this unit is a STEAL.
Good fishing :)

- better than other brands i have used but has a lot of room for improvement. i said i would recommend to others but with a lot of warnings.
- Has the best customer support of all the other brands.
- the manual is the worst, it covers multiple models and every thing starts with "if your model and transducer support this." if you sell a model that comes with a specific transducer it should clearly state that this model with this transducer has these features and then list the info needed for those features, as it is it doesn't answer as many questions as it makes you ask. I have asked four techs the same question and gotten four different answers, if they get their answers from these same manual i can understand why you get different answers.
- Easy installation , solid mounting , lots of features including maps installed.
- not touchscreen but for the price it's great..
There is nothing out there close to $500 that comes close.
Hundreds less than same units "Sale" price on other sites.
- Bright display. Powerful processor. High performance

- Size and ease of use.
- Not Radar compatible.
