I purchased this very useful and well made rain jacket for in my surf and jetty casting activity. First,
I'm 72 and not in the best shape ... I thought that the red/black color would at least make it easy
to be rescued in the event of a seashore accident! After using the jacket, it became very clear to
me that there are many pluses to this item. It's completely waterproof with all sealed seams, 4 large pockets (2 zippered, and 2 with velcro closures), there's a tethered snap hook in one of them for your keys, pull-type neck and waist shock cords/locks, the hide-away hood has a substantial bill and a shock cord/lock to adjust for head circumference. What I really appreciate is the front zipper
with a significant overlapping snap/velcro flap. They were nice enough to have a front neck flap that that keeps your Adam's apple away from the zipper area!

- I bought a larger size so I can layer up for cold weather without restricting my casting, etc.

Good jacket for warmer weather and decent enough for the cooler/colder times due to having plenty of room to layer.

- Good for most of the year, roomy enough to layer up underneath.

- The zippers are not 100% waterproof

This coat is the best light weight raincoat I have ever owned. The Dripore system material has proven to me that it is a top contender for raingear. Wind as well! Very breathable and would rank in the SIMMS class for a fraction of the price! A must get! I currently have 2 of them......you will not be sorry! It’s the best!
