This is what I use to keep bait on kayak.

Works perfect. Tie off to the back hitch and keeps bait alive for long periods

Not sure what I was thinking when I replaced a lost bait bucket that blew out of the boat on the highway. I've used nothing but Flow Troll for 40 years and just thought the other common name brand would duplicate it. It wasn't even close - the lid didn't even close. Don't make that mistake, or you'll stick the fake one in the corner, or give it away, but certainly you'll buy another Flow Troll.

This is another one of those things that I've had forever since I was a little kid. Other than not smelling all that great it still works and holds my minnows just fine. I usually throw my cut strips of squid in the bottom as well to keep them moist and not dried out. My only problem with this is it's my most forgotten piece of fishing equipment. I keep it in the garage due to the smell and more often than not get down to the boat ramp and have forgotten it. But that's clearly my problem and not the bucket!
