The Fox KRD003 Tarpon Trek Fly 9ft 5pc is a fast action, low diameter model will allow you to punch a long line into strong headwinds whilst at the same time delivering the perfect presentation. This powerful rod will easily cope with weight forward 12 weight lines in difficult conditions but is also delightful to use with a slightly lighter line in flat calm seas where delicate presentation is required. The pick up rate has to be seen to be believed. This is so important for changing direction when sight fishing for fast moving fish.
The Tarpon Trek Fly, although lightweight and easy to cast with, has amazing hidden power enhanced by the removable fighting grip and will help you subdue monster tarpon well over 100lb and have the stopping power to guide them away from those dreaded lobster pots!
The Tarpon Trek Fly is fitted with three Titanium Stripping Rings and Stainless Intermediates. The butt is constructed from A-grade cork with a screw-on fighting extension. The specially designed Fox Reel Seat has double locking rings for ultimate security and the hoods are specially tapered to eliminate any wobbling during casting.
The Tarpon Trek Fly is made from 5 sections with a transportation length of 25.5 inches and is presented in a top quality, smart zipped hard case travel tube for protection and convenience of travel.
