The Fox KRD024 IGFA XT Special 7ft 20-50 lb is a trigger handled conventional casting rod that wears many hats. The Fox IGFA XT Special 7ft 20-50 lb is a multi rated line class blank that can comfortably fish 20 - 50lb lines with confidence, and the knowledge that you can put a ton of pressure on a fish and not on yourself during a long battle. The long rear grip allows the angler to load up the rod tip action on the back swing of a cast, while snapping the lure or bait far in the distance with a minimal effort on the front swing.

The rod was designed by Bill Boyce to fish a variety of different fisheries and is one of his favorite rods on his TV show, IGFA Anglers Digest. It's perfect for casting big plastic baits in the inshore wash-rock habitats off California, and is very comfortable jigging light metal lures to schooling striped bass off Montauk. It performs well trolling deep diving plugs off Florida and casting big faced poppers into the sacred haunts of snappers and jacks in Central America.

Nine high performance ceramic guides allows for use with mono or braided lines. The compact 5 piece travel rod configuration allows you to pack it in your car, in the overhead of a plane, or even in a backpack for a motorcycle enthusiast.

More Features and Specifications

The Fox IGFA Travel Rod Series was designed by Bill Boyce of TV's IGFA Angler's Digest, who has spent the last two decades fishing light tackle, 20 and 30lb billfish tournaments all over the world. As a custom rod builder and designer, he has teamed with FOX to create the Fox IGFA Travel Rod Series, which is perfect for travelling tournament anglers who are tired of airline hassles, long rod tubes, and excess baggage costs.
