I couldn't find better pricing on the FJ Neil 225-CT (12"). Shipping was fast and crab trap was exactly as seen / ordered from Tackle Direct. I wouldn't hesitate to order from them again. Thanks Tackle Direct!

This type of trap is great. and the price is good.

During the summer or fall when I'm not fishing, you can find me crabbing. These are one of my 3 preferred types of trap, the others you have to pay for a $ 2.00 non-commercial Crab Pot License in NJ. These pots are good for everybody from a beginner to a veteran crabber.

What are the flaps inside for? Decoration, or do they have a purpose?

The FJ Neil Crab Trap 225-CT has 2 wire 'flaps' inside that are attached to the top are to support the trap so it will not fall over and keeps trap upright. Please let us know if there is anything else that we can assist you with.
