i received a birthday present of fitzgerald vursa spinning rod he was given at anglers choice national championship at Guntersville. When we unwrapped it the tip top appeared to be missing the insert that was present in the other guides. Is this the way it is supposed to be or is it indeed missing that insert. I went ahead and fished with it last night and it is the best ned rod ever! But I am worried that the tip top is not right and will cost me in a tournament setting. Thanks for hearing my question! Hello Ken. All the guides should have inserts. I would advise contacting the manufacturer in reference to one of the guides missing the insert.
