Whats the line rating for braid and mono and how much does it hold for each one?

Hi Sean, According to Fitzgerald, The Fitzgerald FX8 Casting Reels have a mono line capacity of: 10lb/150yds, 12lb/130yds, and 14lb/110yds. Braided line capacity of: 30lb/170yds, 40lb/150yds, and 50lb/130yds. Please let us know if theres anything else we can assist you with. Tight Line

Can this reel be used for saltwater?

Hi Sean, The Fitzgerald FX8 Casting Reel is treated with a salt armor coating so it's ready for conditions in both fresh and saltwater environments and would be fine to use for saltwater fishing.
