Good bait

Great bait for surf fishing. I have caught pompano, whiting and pinfish just to name a few. This bait is not messy and lasts for a pretty good while in the water.

THEY. CATCH. FISH.
January 12, 2022
like the headline reads, they simply catch fish! soaked some small strips on a double dropper rig and caught a 24" Black drum in about 10 mins! We ate well that night! whiting loved them as well!
Pros
  • easy to use
  • stays on hook super well
Cons
  • sometimes the integrated mesh inside (that keeps the bait on the hook) will tangle with the hook's barb making it hard to remove when needed. you want a bait that won't come off in the hook in heavy surf or current? well you got it!

Surprising results
June 7, 2021
My first thought was just another device to catch fishermen. Boy was i wrong. I have been using this product here in south Texas for over 4 years now and it continues to amaze me. I have caught dozens of different species of saltwater fish on this product. Everything from pinfish, black drum, redfish and trout to name a few. Redfish and black drum both over 40 inches.
Pros
  • It works! It is not messy! It stays on the hook! Did I mention that it works!
Cons
  • I have no cons!

killer for surf fishing

stays on the hook, very durable, very easy to use, works. I got sick of loosing shrimp in the tides, so I started loading these on the hook also. If you use circle hooks, then there is like a zero percent chance that you need to check the thing to see if there is still bait on. It must really smell too. Fish seem to dig it.

Pink is the Best!
January 5, 2021
We have caught whitings and Sea trout with Pink color.
This cant beat live shrimp but as good as dead shrimp.
Actually, it stays a lot longer than dead shrimp. You must have it in your tackle box for backup.

I've tried them at Chesapeake bay this past summer. They worked well (caught a few croaker) but would mostly pull up blue crabs....
Pros
  • Attracts fish
Cons
  • Attracts more than fish

I always have fishbites
September 17, 2020
I am a big fan of fishbites and have been using them for years. They are very productive and it is nice not having to bait the hooks after every cast. The long lasting (blue bag) versions are what I use and I have tried every variety. The long lasting version has a mesh backing and is intended for use when the water is at least 65 degrees. Occasionally some mesh is left behind on a hook and when that happens I cut the mesh with a pair rapala scissors intended for braid.
I also use the scissors to cut the fishbites. Out of all the varieties, I have had the most success with shrimp but they all will catch fish.
Pros
  • Stays on the hook, aren't smelly, ease of use
