The 2-stage cam system in these reels gives more control in settings below the "Strike" position and a steeper control curve when more than strike is needed.

Super reliable reel

I own 4 MA40TP Marquesa Pelagic reels, which I use exclusively for light tackle Billfishing. I caught dozens of sailfish on them and haven't had any problems with them. I give them a 10/10. Excelent value for money. I would reccomend them anytime.

- Excellent drag system.
- Very good for circle hook fishing.
Cons
- No agents in South Africa. Hope I don't need parts anytime soon....

The reel looks good, but the quality is not there. The handle is fragile. The worst thing about the reel is the extremely "jerky" drag.easily
