Just like it's other variant the regular lethal this one just has a smaller knob which I like since I think a power knob would be really awkward on a 3000 lol

Awesome Northern Pike Reel !
December 11, 2017
I picked up the 30 size for northern pike fishing. Spooled it up with suffix 832 20 lb. braid. Is a great reel casts great with braid and mono. I put it on a St. Croix 6'6" medium power fast action Tide master spinning rod. Is a great combo for northern pike. Also spooled it with 8 lb. test mono and used it on a St. Croix Avid 6'6" ml power fast action spinning rod for salmon here it Ct. Has a great drag and should last a long time. Have caught numerous pike on it up to 15 lbs. and salmon up to 10 lbs. I used to have a PENN Battle but I prefer this reel over the PENN Battle.
Pros
  • Great casting distance. great drag!
Cons
  • Is a tad heavy but fine with me for my use.

Excellent spinning reel, lots of drag for the money, free water proof bag rebate valued at about $90.

very good sturdy reel for the money, very good drag and lots of it to bring in the big fish too! Reds, alligator gars.. easy peasy!!
I'm thinking it will work fine with tautog/blackfish and 30-40 lb stripers/rockfish also. Best bang for the buck for sure.
Pros
  • built like a rock, excellent drag.
Cons
  • just a tag on heavy side, but unless you want to spend five times more on a used Stella, this is pretty awesome!
