good hook ups
March 31, 2018
these hooks are really good with hook ups. but they are not very strong used 6/0 size fishing in tournament broke the hook when ever we leadered a fish which was fine beacause it was a relase touramnet but had a big yellow fin around 100lb got it to the boat put are hand on the leader to pull in to get a gaff shot and the hook broke.just know what you want to do when using these hooks because they dont suit all around fishing.
Pros
  • any bite was a hook up!
Cons
  • any extra drag than the reel they break it was set at 25Lb

Eagle Claw Trokar TK5- A Great hook for Chesapeake Bay Cobia
January 25, 2016
These Trokar hooks are undoubtedly the sharpest around. Using these means sure " hook-ups" everytime. When we use these the Cobia virtually hook themseleves!

A couple years back we were told the Trokar light wire circle hooks were the best for the big 100lb+ tuna in Southern Cal. I believe they were TK 6. Do you carry these anymore?

I love the quality of your hook but I am having difficulty finding the style to use. I use them primarily trolling for salmon in the northwest and usually tie up 3/0 & 4/0

The eagle claw trokar octopus hooks will work fine for that purpose.
