Built with Duckett Fishing's signature multi-modulus X-Helical coil construction, the Black Ice’s blank is constructed from a military grade high modulus, low resin graphite with both a base layer and external layer of carbon fiber. This high tech construction results in the lightest and most sensitive blank that Ducket Fishing has ever produced. The average rod weight in the entire Black Ice series is a feather-light 3.5 ounces without sacrificing true big fish fighting power. The blanks are fitted with proprietary Kigan reinforced plasma coated guides with Zirconia inserts that provide the ultimate in casting performance and durability. Sensitivity is further enhanced by a True Split reel seat that leaves a generous portion of the blank exposed under the reel, increasing the transmission of vibration directly from rod to hand. The handles feature a triple grade A cork construction while the foregrip and butt sections are made from a comfortable EVA foam.
