An excellent knife. Blade guard is a little too tight
December 21, 2021
Overall an excellent knife. It got a bit dull as I used and abused it, but it certainly performed as advertised. When new it was incredible. Very ergonomic handle. Blade is serrated.
Can be used for bait (small or large) or to fillet a medium sized fish. Small cuts are possible closer to the tip.
This knife is sharp and you MUST use the blade guard as shown. You do NOT want to cut yourself with this knife after cutting through a mullet. On that point, the blade guard is quite tight and if your hand slips while putting knife in blade guard you could get cut so be careful and use the (easily identifiable) hand grips areas on the guard when securing blade in the guard.
Pros
  • Nice ergonomic handle. Fantastic blade, especially when new. Blade guard included. Good size, for bait or your caught fish.
Cons
  • Blade guard is a little too tight, but quite functional
