Gave it a little grinding and mean I minimal. My yeti 24 Rambler fits snug and you can lock it by turning the mug.

Very sturdy cup holder!

I use this on top of the center console if my Boston Whaler. At first I wondered if the suction cups would hold during a choppy ride. Wow! I am amazed how well it holds. It's like it is part of the boat. I believe the heavy sturdy weight of this item gives extra benefit to its holding power. It's like it is bolted on. Definitely worth the price which feels like a bargain because of quality. I did a lot of shopping around. It also looks good. Like it came with the boat. I would definitely purchase other items with this company!

What is the dimension of the drink holder opening. Will the size accommodate a can cozy or a yeti can holder?

Deep Blue does not list a dimension for the actual cup slots, however, you should be able to fit a can/bottle with a cozy on it in there. The yeti can holder is a little large and may not fit in the hole.
