New for 2018, the Daiwa Tatula line of bass rods is the most complete lineup of technique specific bass rods Daiwa has ever produced. The series features 21 different models, all of which are meticulously designed to feature the perfect length, power, action, and component layout for a given style of bass fishing. There are 7 spinning designs, 6 casting models, 2 flipping rods, 2 shallow crank/jerkbait rods, 3 glass cranking and spinnerbait rods and a frogging rod. All rods in the series are built around Daiwa's X-45 blank with Braiding-X Fiber Technology. These extremely lightweight blanks help eliminate blank twist and ovalization when the rod bends, allowing for increased strength, casting distance, and casting accuracy. They feature tangle free Fuji FazLite guides for smooth casting and durability. If you are looking for a professional grade bass rod designed with a specific purpose in mind then take a look at the Tatula line of bass rods where Daiwa has built one just for the task.

Key Features:

  • Premium Natural Cork Handle
  • Lazer Etched Tatula Spider Graphic
  • X-45 Concept Blanks with Braiding-X Fiber Braiding Technology
  • Fuji FazLite guides.
  • Limited 5-Year Warranty

If you have a use for a MH spinning rod
August 11, 2022
Tatulas are awesome rods for the money. I got the 7'2" MH for a froggin' rod. Light for it's size, great action. I fish out of a kayak and wanted the extra length to keep frogs and other plastics on top. Works well, but is very technique specific, for me anyway. I find rods that are 6'6"- 6'10" more comfortable for general freshwater applications. This would also be a great inshore saltwater rod though.

Great rods for the money

These are great rods, that can compete with rods that cost a good bit more. I own the 7' M and the 7'6" ML/M and both have been excellent. Very light and sensitive with great build quality. I also love the design of the handle as I tend to hold my spinning rods with my hand further forward. This handle design is the most comfortable I have ever used.

Super right and durable, very easy to cast and rolling. It’s been 3 month since I got this rod and caught over 20 large mouse basses. Great looking black rod.

Exceptional finish

The rod is wonderful but I have bought is for zander fishing. It's a bit soft but much more sensitive and lighter than the previous model. I guess it's perfect for bass. If you want the stiff one buy XF(extrafast) not Fast.
