Team Daiwa S Bass Rods are designed to be dependable along with solid actions. These bass rods are designed with quality fuji aluminum oxide guides. They also feature micro pitch blank taping. This is fine-pitch taping that is done during the curing process which means a denser blank with even distribution of resin within the graphites. A natural, unsanded finish combines maximum strength and stability with lighter weight and increased sensitivity. These rods are freshwater rods for bass fishing.

Tip broken in first outing
August 19, 2015
This new series of "white" rod is much weaker than the original series. Got the 11 ft one, which is much stiffer than the old series, as anything longer than 10 foot are heavy now.
The tip actually didn't break, but the tip guide slide out of the rod. Poor workmanship? Or because of lower grade IM7 graphite. Anyway, you got what you paid for.
Pros
  • Cheaper than the old TDS series
Cons
  • Cheaper and weaker. Workmanship is not there. Warranty also shortened to 1 year. Price for some reason is around the same as Emblem, Emcast, Beefstick...
  • If you are looking to keep a surf rod for years, look for others that offer lifetime warranty.
  • Daiwa has no lifetime warranty after they discontinued Saltiga.
