This is the reel that made me a Daiwa fan. After using reels from other companies for years, one time using this instantly made me want more Daiwa stuff. It casts like a dream, and is very smooth. Set the spool tension to allow just a touch of side to side play, and you will never have to adjust it again. The adjustment for the braking system is the only adjustment you will ever need from there, and even that rarely ever needs any adjusting. I only dial that up a little to compensate for days with heavy wind.

The Daiwa tatula sv is the smoothest reel I own thanks to the sv spool. The reel can cast anything you tie on it far. The braking system is very easy to learn and use. The reel is strong and durable and I would recommend it to everyone.

this reel may not cast as far as other baitcasters but it greatly reduces backlashes

This thing is light, fast and smooth. First baitcaster for my wife, she learned how to use it and isn't making a mess of her line, on the first day!

The T wing casting system really does eliminate friction and thus allows you to cast further. It's what sets this reel apart from all others. It really makes a huge difference. Other than that it's a good baitcaster with the usual features. The T wing is the reason to buy this.

Try adding micro ceramic or JDM micro bearings from Hedgehog Studios if you want to cast really light weights far. Can't do this with your reel.
