Great Reel
March 24, 2022
I have an array of Tatula Reels and they all are great. I like the 200 Series for my Frog Rods as it has a little more drag and is more heavy duty than the 100's... Overall it is a workhorse and casts great if you tune it properly...
Pros
  • Drag, casting
Cons
  • None that I'm aware of just yet...

Pros
  • Balances nicely on my like rods
  • Power swept handle works well with all day cranking

  • I would like that factory zero adjust like on my 100?s

Awesome reel!

On my second seasons for frogs and glide baits. It casts fantastic with a wide range of lure weights thanks to the magnetic breaking system. Plenty of torque from the gears and a smooth drag. You won't regret buying a Tatula.
Pros
  • Smooth drag
  • Plenty of torque
  • Magnetic breaking system
Cons
  • Wish it had a tad more drag for frog fishing

Is this a good reel for inshore fishing for snook
1 Answer
Hi Ashton, The Daiwa Tatula 200 Baitcasting Reels are specifically designed for Freshwater fishing applications. Instead I would recommend a Daiwa LX-WN300HS-P Lexa Type-WN Baitcasting Reel. https://www.tackledirect.com/daiwa-lx-wn300hs-p-lexa-type-wn-baitcasting-reel.html This reel would be ideal for saltwater fishing applications for targeting snook and other species. Please let us know if theres anything else we can assist you with. Tight Lines.
