Daiwa Tatula Elite Signature Series Rods were developed by Daiwa's Pros such as Andy Montgomery, Brent Ehrler, Cody Meyers, Ish Monroe, Randy Howell, Seth Feider, and Takahiro Omori. Given free reign, each pro was asked to select their favorite techniques and design specific rods to be the ultimate action to execute that technique. With the guess work taken out of it, Anglers don't have to track down the right rod for the job and can focus on catching more fish.

All rods are designed with SVF Nanoplus Super Volume Fiber blanks for less weight and increased sensitivity. Crankbait rods are designed with GLATECH fiberglass / graphite construction needed for a slower reacting blank. The slower reacting blank is necessary for the proper action of the crankbaits and allows fish to gulp baits better and not tear hooks. This will result in improved hook ratio and increased sensitivity due to the graphite wrapped blank construction. All blanks have Daiwa’s X45 BIAS graphite fiber construction which prevents twisting and ovalization of the blanks for increased casting accuracy and improved distance.

Daiwa Tatula Elite Signature Series Rods Features:

  • Daiwa’s Exclusive Super Volume Fiber-Modulus SVF Graphite blanks or GLATECH Fiberglass construction
  • X45 Bias Graphite construction prevents twisting of blanks for casting accuracy
  • Daiwa Exclusive custom designed reel seats or Fuji reel seats
  • Daiwa AGS guides or Fuji Alconite ring guides
  • Limited 5 Year Warranty

Maybe the best rod in its price point. I own six different models of this rod and they all do exactly what they are designed to do. No two models are alike. Very good technique specific rods.

Good sensitivity for the money

These rods have good sensitivity for the money. They are nice and light, and have great actions to them. My only knock on them is that the guides seem to be a little fragile. I baby my stuff, but somehow managed to bend one of the guides on one of the two of these that I own. Even with that said though I would still recommend these, and still use and enjoy them on a regular basis.

Love this rod
June 4, 2018
I am just under 6 feet tall. I got the 6’-9”” version and absolutely love it. I was decent at skipping docks before. Now I am even better. Getting an average of another 8 to ten feet of skip using all the same line, real and bait. The rod is what’s making the difference. Sensitivity is great. Back bone is plenty stiff for pulling fish out of tight places.

This is my number two rod next to a custom Rod I had built. Decent sensitivity I also like the softer tip.

Is this rod good for regular fishing, not just skipping?
1 Answer
This rod excels atskipping, however it is an allaround great rod for bass fishing. Very light, sensitive, with a strongbackbone. Definitely not limited to skipping
