Deep water Jigging Reel
March 11, 2018
Wanted something that could make deep water fishing a little easier and after using a friends went with this little gem. The ability to crank over 40 inches of line is unreal and makes things so much easier when fishing down deep and for hours at a time. No issues so far and when paired with the XH Tsunami slow pitch jigging rod or a Trevela S its a super light and super strong combo!
Pros
  • Line retrieval ability and drag

Great reel

Bought this for my wife, love the reel. High speed makes it simple to reel in quickly when dropping 200 ft. Have seen bad reviews for this reel on other sites...just set drag to full open when not in use to preserve the drag.
Pros
  • High speed

Hey i be fishing from a kayak and I wanna know if this is good for trolling wahoo and kingfish and and going togging to.
1 Answer
That would be a great reel for targeting those fish. The ultra high speed gears will allow you to quickly retrieve line on big runs, and allow you to tog fish and retrieve line quickly from depth.

jigging wise, how narrow is this reel? would it be a good reel for slow pitch and mechanical jigging?
1 Answer
The only narrow model is the 35. All other sizes are standard width. Yes, it would be a good reel for both applications.
