Great rod

Light yet strong. I went with one of the stiffer models and it easily handles everything caught here along coast in NJ. Great rod if you can find one...

I ordered STJ70HFS this model to pair with a saltist 8000 and absolutely love it. It is a workhorse and has the backbone you want but also the soft tip you need!! Just ordered a second one as well.

Great buying experience
June 5, 2018
After purchasing 4 rods from (A river in South America) which were all broken intransit I found TD. Talk about professional packaging! A brown delivery truck could have ran it over and the rods would still be in perfect shape.

The rods are sturdy, look great and seem to be high quality. Headed offshore in 2 weeks so then I'll know for sure how well they handle the Kraken!

Pros
  • Everything so far
Cons
  • Nada

Another quality made fishing rod made by Daiwa. Sensitive and well balanced. I was concerned about the sensitivity not being able to actually see and handle the fishing rod in person. I am glad to have made the decision to buy another Daiwa over other brands.
Pros
  • Price for quality. Well built.

Would this rod be good for casting in the water, fishing off the beach? If not what would be a good rod for that for catching 6r' sharks?
1 Answer
The Tsunami Airwave Elite Surf 10 ft rod would be a great rod casting out for sharks from the surf. This rod definitely has enough backbone power and casting ability your looking for. Thank you for considering TackleDirect for your fishing needs.
