The Daiwa Salt Pro Minnow Bullet is a sinking lure that has a tight S action to imitate a real fish swimming. Salt Pro Minnow Bullet was designed for surf fishing to catch striped bass but will catch many other varieties. This lure sinks level so you will get many bites on the fall and its heavy weight and small lip helps it cast in windy conditions. Salt Pro Minnow Bullet is constructed with 1.4mm heavy wire-thru construction.

Can you ever have too many SP Minnows. They work on countless species and should always be within reach.

Great Stickbait
April 2, 2021
Great Mackerel stickbait. Extra weight to it to cast further than standard SP Minnow. Lot more action you can induce on this since it has no lip.

Great lure
December 3, 2020
Great when water is cold. Has a tight wiggle to it when slowly reeled but can dart like a dying bait to entice fish. Cast like a bullet as well.

This is part of my surfishing lure collection. I use the bullet during those windy days to cast farther and retrive faster.

Great lure, okay hooks

I really like the action and cosmetic finish on the whole line of Diawa SP lures. My only criticism is the hooks. The split rings are nice, however the hooks are little chintzy so I swapped with size compatible VMCs.

Must have NE lure
March 25, 2020
This is a must have for the Northeast angler whether it's stripers or bluefish the SP minnow is a classic and this lipless version is great for surf fishing because you can get a little bit more on the cast than the lipped version.
Pros
  • Lipless
  • casts long
  • great action
  • catches fish

1 Question & 1 Answer
Ramon
from Boston, MA asked:
July 15, 2022
What is the proper way to fish this lure? Is there a video showing the possible techniques? Walk-the-dog? Do reel and twitch? Just direct constant speed reel? Jig it like a bucktail?
1 Answer
Hi Ramon, The Daiwa Salt Pro Minnow Bullet can be fished multipleways. The most common ways are 1) Casting and using a straight retrieve, 2) Casting upcurrent and retrieving with a slight twitch, and 3) Casting upcurrent and retrieving it very slow near the bottom. These would be the most common ways to use this lure to be the most effective and versatile. Please let us know if theres anything else we can assist you with. Tight Lines.
