  • Daiwa's iconic ultra soft and smooth feel - Like Samurai Braid
  • Made from Ultra Dyneema fiber (same as Samurai)

Braided Line
August 31, 2022
I have been using this braided line since it was first released by Diawa. I only fish saltwater and do most of my fishing on jetties. The line is soft and pliable however extremely strong and abrasion resistant. I fish around oyster reefs and have no problem with my line being cut. I have told many friends about this line and they too are very happy with it.
Pros
  • Pliable
  • Soft
  • Great sink speed
  • Casts farther than most other lines
  • Great abrasion resistance
Cons
  • Color fades rather quickly

I haven't had a chance to really put it to the test but it seems fairly strong and it definitely ties a good knot.

February 27, 2022
Stuff is tough and knots well. Might not be the smoothest or longest casting but that isn't what it was designed to be. Its great for trolling, bottom fishing, live baiting...
Pros
  • tough
  • knots well
Cons
  • none

What difference would I notice between the 4 and 6 strand weave? The 6 strand weave would be smoother and quieter through the guide?
1 Answers
The 8 strand braid will be smoother and quieter going through the guides and will likely cast just a little bit better. The 8 strand will also have a higher breaking strength.
