I fished this for the first time last summer for bluefin and now have it on all my reels. Consistent quality and strength, good round shape to the line (not as flat as a 4 carrier, and I like the island blue color for offshore fishing. Out in blue water, it is not as visible as the moss greens, bright yellow, or white. While it may not make much difference to the fish as I use 75 to 100 feet of top shot, it gives me more confidence, and a fisherman's confidence adds up to more fish making it to the boat. The color is also light enough to mark with a sharpie to give you precise depth control. I have it marked every 50 feet, and its easy to see the marks when dropping jigs down deep. I can with confidence hit the desired depth the captain is metering fish. After fishing for the first time last summer, as I prep gear for this summer's trips, there is no color fade in the line. All of this in a line that is at the same price point as other brands makes this a good value.

11 out of 10, would buy again. Smoothest braid I’ve ever used. It’s also super sensitive no matter what technique you’re using. Slack in your line with this braid and you’ll still feel every tick and nibbles.

Cast is smooth like butter, more flexible and doesn't fray as much like it's power pro super slick 8 v2 counterpart. Did I also mention it's cheaper.

Daiwa has matched the new Power Pro Slick 8 V2 ! Really nice , cast really far in the surf .. Stands up to salt water really good and has fabulous knot retention .

Replaced the old line on my Daiwa BG and I’m kicking myself for not doing it sooner.

I would like to review this item but I haven’t received it yet. I do like the other 15lb test and my 30lb chartreuse. The line is very soft and does not cut into your fingers like other lines.

I'm using this on a trinidad 12A. Spooled with 250 yds of power pro 30 lbs + 300 yds of 15 lbs daiwa. haven't used it yet...but seems to be quiet, slick and strong. 8 carrier UHMWPE Izanas line.

Great overall braid. I like it better than PP.

Daiwa J-Braid is one of my favorite go-to braided lines, lays nicely in the reel, casts extremely nice, performs excellently. Highly recommended.
