Went with the Daiwa J-Braid after cheaper braids that frayed too easily with very little friction resilience on eyelet rods

Better price point BUT my use of it is limited so far. Cant say its better or not. Took a flyer on the Daiwa reputation.

I only use J braid now after transitioning from Sufix 832. Reason being because of pricing and that J braid is more abrasion resistant. There have been plenty of times when I cast with Sufix 832 and the line just broke. That has never happened with J braid. This line casts really well and definitely won't make a dent in your bank. Color retention is better than average.

If you like Super Slick 8 , This line has that level of castability with WAY better knot retention! I’ll be using this for years ... I’ve used many types of braids , this one is king ! Very easy on your fingers too...
