I got a pair of these reels when they were BOGO on TackleDirect. They work perfectly and have a nice smooth retrieve. I'm not sure how they will hold up long term, since i am using them in both saltwater and freshwater. They are perfect for use as backup reels..

Reel feels super smooth. Casts great and zero movement in handle. Only complaint is heavy for its size and little less drag than inshore reels in its class. So far holding up well in salt. Power handle is super comfortable /convenient

Perfect small spinner

Recently purchased the Daiwa Fuego4000h on a 2/1 deal. Their intent was to be put on older rods I had laying around so when my kids when fishing off the dock or around the neighborhood, they wouldn't take my tackle. For the price, based on the 2/1 deal, it's a killer. The kids love them, the drags are smoother than I evisioned and they're super light weight. Recently we took them to the reef and the kids had a good time catching yellowtails, Chubs and runners -reels were smooth as butter. I'll do my best to update this in a year to see how they've stood that test of time...

Nice reel that so far has held up fine. I havent had anything over 10# on it yet but it held up nicely to some big hungry blues!
