The Daiwa Fuego LT series of spinning reels define Daiwa’s commitment to the LT concept of lighter, tougher fishing reels for anglers worldwide. Encased in a carbon material body, the Fuego LT spinning reel boasts various state-of-the-art technologies and materials that make it a premier value at its price point. The innovative MagSealed main shaft delivers supreme smoothness and performance while providing exceptional protection from water, dirt, and grime intrusion.

Housed inside the light and tough body of the Fuego LT, you’ll find DigiGearing that provides more strength and smooth, durable operation. The unique Air Rotor and Air Bail, like all parts of the Fuego LT, combine to reduce weight and provide velvety rotation that is perfectly balanced. From top to bottom, inside out, the Daiwa Fuego LT Spinning Reel provides incredible value and performance anglers of all types will appreciate.

Daiwa Technology Found In Fuego LT Reels :
  • Air Rotor - The Air Rotor weighs up to 15% less than ordinary rotor designs. Its unique shape reduces unnecessary weight while distributing stress more evenly throughout the rotor for maximum strength.
  • DigiGear - The all-new DigiGear is precision machine cut and polished. This results in unmatched efficiency, better transfer of energy, and maximum smoothness.
  • LT Concept - The LT family of reels boast a smaller, lighter, more compact body which is paired with a larger DigiGear for the ultimate combination of Light and Tough.
  • MagSeal - MagSeal is the process of using MagOil, a special liquid developed through space engineering, to create a water and dust resistant barrier. Unlike rubber seals, MagOil will not effect the rotational performance of a reel. This creates a seal that allows the reel to maintain a light and smooth rotation for optimal performance.

(It is beautiful in the color combination, a good option in relation to cost - benefit)
Pros
  • ligero y grana capacidad de linea (light and great line capacity)
Cons
  • la base del carrete parece fragil, cuando estas peleando una captura da la impresion que se quebrara o soltara de la ca?a.
  • (The base of the reel seems fragile, when you are fighting a catch it seems that it will break or come loose from the rod.)

one of the best quality/price

This reel maybe is not the smoothest of the market, however its brake can stop 20 pound stripers easily. By being so light gives an extra to pair it with light tackles, with the security of having a 3000 spool with you. Definitely an excellent choice

I've caught all of my personal best using this reel (2500) last year (2021) paired with a 7' air-dx. I caught a 17 lb striper, 13 lb hybrid striped bass, and multiple blue cats over the 15 lbs. Daiwa really meant light and tough when they said it. Only knock on it was the uneven spooling when I first got it (top heavy). I had to add 2 of the plastic washers that came with it to level it out.
Pros
  • Light and tough
  • High quality
  • Sturdy feel.
  • Insane drag power.
Cons
  • Uneven spooling out of the box

Great value light reel

I bought a 4000 in new condition from a friend. Its been a good reel after a good bit of use for a year. I’ve used it on a 7’ medium rod for plugging stripers from the boat and in Florida on a 9’ light surf rod for blues and Spanish mackerel from the beach. The reel is the lightest I have for its size, very smooth after a year of use, great free spin and a pleasure to fish. My only disappointment is that when under load from bigger fish you feel flex in the body of the reel that you don’t feel with a metal body reel. But the polymer body is what makes it so light.
Pros
  • Value
  • Light
  • Smooth
  • So far holds up in salt
Cons
  • Flex in the body under load

Saltwater Inshore Beast

I love this reel, it is very strong, light, and smooth and is MAGSEALED. I have the 4000 paired with a 7'0'' Diawa TD SOL Inshore rod running 20lb Diawa jbraid and it is perfect for throwing lures all day long.

On the west coast it handles stripped bass and halibut with ease. A huge 60lb stingray took a swimbait and the Fuego was able to haul it in. Surprisingly strong reel.

Traveled to Florida with the Fuego and it handled a 35" snook with ease, as well as a 28" red. Also caught some black seabass and sheepshead under docks with it.

This reel does it all.
Pros
  • Strong
  • Magsealed
  • Light
  • Smooth
  • Versatile

I got the 2500D-XH with a Fuego rod. The reel performed very well and caught three 3lb. bass with no problem. The reel is very smooth, cast great, and has great drag. If you're in the market for a spinning reel that is decently price this is your best option.
Pros
  • casting, smooth, and great drag.
Cons
  • none so far

Outstanding value

I use this reel for both freshwater bass fishing and surf fishing. Constantly impressed that it retails for under $100. The reel is very lightweight for the price and I love that it comes in a 6.2:1 gear ratio. The magseal seems to work well, I've only rinsed this reel off after surf fishing and have no problems with the internals.
Pros
  • Lightweight
  • Magsealed

Great reel and favorite inshore in that price range

The fuego LT is a really smooth n nice all around reel . I think it's the best $100 reel for inshore /freshwater fishing. Drag strength not great so I'd move up to the ballistic for that . Still a great reel and I fish with 3-4 all the time.

Pros
  • Low price for quality
