Freshly updated for 2021, the Daiwa Eliminator Spinning Reels provide the exceptional quality Daiwa is known for at a price that anglers of all stripes will be able to appreciate. The new Eliminator combines Daiwa's Hardbodyz Concept with a rugged aluminum frame and sideplate for durability that is second to none in its class. This rugged frame houses a set of precision cut DigiGears that provide smooth operation and solid transfer of power in the moments you need it the most. The attractive and highly durable anodized finish is scratch and corrosion resistant. The optimally balanced Air Rotor is 15 percent lighter than those on competing reels, allowing for more precise stop-and-go winding for working lures with a finesse oriented approach. The Eliminator Series features a full run of sizing ranging from a 2500 perfect for backwater light tackle applications, to a substantial 8000 size for heavy applications from the beach or boat.

The Daiwa Eliminator spinning reel would be a step down from the Daiwa BG spinning reel. Both are good reels that can handle the saltwater and have similar specs for the same size reel.
