Hi, would this reel pair well with a Okuma Nomad 10 ft Heavy surf rod? Does it cast well? How much 50 lb braid would it hold? Thx.

The Daiwa Emcast 6000 model would be a bit heavy for the rod your choosing. The Daiwa BG5000 BG Saltwater Spinning Reel would be a great fit matching with the Okuma Nomad 10 ft Heavy surf rod.

This reel might be a bit large of a reel if pairing it with the Okuma Nomad 10 ft Heavy surf rod. You would want a lighter reel in the size range of a Daiwa BG 4500. This rel could easily fit over 600 yards of 50 lb braid.
