First time out with this reel I was extremely happy, I caught 25 bass on it. Drag is good and reel is smooth with good anti reverse. One thing I have noticed is that the line isn't spooled super evenly and usually tends to bunch at the top of the spool although not to an impactful degree.
Pros
  • Good drag, smooth
Cons
  • None

This economy reel are very
good option for fresh water and salt watrer beach spinning.
The model Daiwa Crossfire 3000 whit 200 yards of 10 pound line and 8 feet rod work very well por bass or barracudas.
Pros
  • Performance, the legendary Daiwa craftsmanship and performance.
Cons
  • Only 3 ball bearings.

If just a little saltwater drops in, the reel is trash. And the warranty service is really bad. They will say it was not manufacture defect and charge you a lot of money for the repair. Won't buy and Daiwa product any more.

Bought this Daiwa Crossfire from Tackle Direct. It was on sale. The order came delivered fast and got to use it soon after. I love this reel. It is very smooth and it has an instant brake/lock. I use it to catch stocked trouts, so I spool a 4lb mono on it. I really like it. I found out that I like Daiwa Crossfire better than Daiwa Sweepfire.

Good reel, a tiny bit noisy and has a small bail wire, but other than that no other complaints. The purchase of the reel couldn't be any better! Excellent price for a good reel and an equally impressive shopping experience as usual! Cant go wrong with TackleDirect!!!
Pros
  • Great price, great brand, good looking reel
Cons
  • Small bail wire, a tiny bit noisy

Aorey if I missed it, but I dont swe a mono line capacity list for the amount of 10-20 poind line you specify in the last answsr. It makes a big difference.
1 Answer
10-20 lb braid and 8-15 lb mono is only what is recommended. There is not a "set in stone" answer for what is the maximum pound test you can put on a reel. You could put 80 lb test but then you will not get as many yards as you would if you used what is recommended like 15 lb test. The recommended numbers are what is going to get you a comfortable amount of line capacity and necessary for reel size.

What’s the biggest test pound of line that can be used on this reel
1 Answer
The recommended lb test for this reel is anywhere from 10-20lb braid or 8-15lb mono filament. It will give you enough capacity and enough breaking strength.
