An awesome all around reel for fresh or salt water

I use this mainly for smaller swimbaits, and it is great. I love that you get a bigger 150 size spool in a smaller 100 size reel, and the SV spool is very hard to beat. They cast very smooth, and are easy for even beginners to use without backlashing.

Big Power in a Small Package !

The small 100-size case is a pleasure to hold all day long, and it still packs plenty of braid onto the 150-size spool to handle any inshore fish. I especially like the 100mm handle, it provides the extra power to haul in even a big Red on the run.
Pros
- The T-wing Line-guide System enables it to cast even the lightweight finesse lures without backlashes.
- Lots of line in a very light, compact package; especially comfortable for smaller hands.
- 100mm handle provides extra cranking power for larger fish.
Cons
- Wish there was a Left-hand model with the High-Speed retrieve ratio.

Would this reel be suitable to cast 1-3 ounce lures? (mostly swimbaits/glidebaits)

I would go with something larger. These reels were designed to thrower lighter finesse-style baits.
