Power. Reliable. Smooth. Love this reel! I have them in every size from 1500 to 6500. As long as these are being made I wont fish with anything else. The 6500 is a little bigger than I expected, but still manageable with the right rod. You might consider going down a size, depending on the application.

Fishing 50lb braid on the BG6500 with a heavy action stand-up spinning rod as my all around offshore combo. The redesign body, one way roller bearing, and carbon fiber drag washers are a great improvement over the BG60s they replaced. So far I love them. Very smooth drag. Time will tell how well they hold up.

Reel was excellent only issue i had was the line roller can get water into it and cause it to get stuck. Make sure u wash after every fishing trip!!

This reel is a work horse. Smooth as silk. Solid reel. Bit on the heavy side but then like I said its a solid reel. The drag is smooth to. Nice and loud to.

Great reel, smooth action and holds plenty of line. Retrieve is effortless and better than most.

Fair price, very smooth reel and seems very sturdy/good buy for saltwater. Mine (2 reels) came covered in some type of glue from manufacturing that I am still cleaning off and the package arrived in poor shape from tackle direct mostly open with poor taping of the box. This was the first package I received from them partly open. The note* is wrong that the spool is blue, it is the lower frame that has slight blue tint only noticeable in the sun.

I bought this reel for deep bottom fishing. It loads up with plenty of line and is very solid. At this price point it would be tough to beat a reel of this caliber. Worth checking out.

This is a great reel for the price. Fro less than a $100 bill on sale this is a steal.
The drag is fantastic, the braid line capacity is enough even if you hook into a 50lb tuna.
