Tarpon, Jig and Bottom Rods were developed for heavy-duty fishing situations. The LB and SLB models feature a unbelievable Calstar Graphiter composite blank. This blank is lightweight but can handle any large fish situation. All LB and SLB models feature Fuji guides. The CLB and CSLB models are built on a E Glass blank and come with stainless steel foul proof eyes. This entire series will provide the power needed to tackle the largest game fish like tarpon, grouper and snapper.

I purchased this rod to use with an electric reel for deep dropping. I was concerned that an 8 ft rod mated to an electric would get very heavy. My concerns were aleved when I held the combination. It is light enough to hold all day and given the construction, stout enough to handle whatever bottom dweller I hook. The rod construction is exceptional- the blank, guides, wrapping finishes and reel seat are all first class! Of course you're going to pay for quality of this magnitude however, I'm a firm believer in crying once so that I can enjoy the purchase for years to come. Given the supply chain situation, they are not easy to find so if you find one, don't hesitate. Get it. You will not be sorry.
Pros
  • Lightweight
