It works!

So far I have caught 4 fish over 7 pounds with this. One was a 10.30# fish. Paired with the Owner 12/0 Beast hook it is deadly when conditions are right. Well worth the investment to have one or two in your arsenal.
Pros
- Weedless configuration. resilient rubber/plastic product. Not overly heavy.
Cons
- Lost an eye early on otherwise really no Cons.

This thing swims through primrose and lily pads without issue. No fish yet on it but i am impressed with the action and its ability to slide through vegetation.

What size hook do I need for 5 inch?

The 5" BAMF is build around the 6/0 Owner Beast Hook, so that would be the only hook I'd recommend. (weighted or unweighted)
The 8" is built around the 12/0 Beast Hook.
